Silva Americano (1877)
A whole plate negative. A port broadside view of the paddle steamer Silva Americano (1877) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has four flags flying, two on each mast, and is probably on her builders' trials. She has a number of people on board and many of them are looking at the camera. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background. This negative is a copy of a photographic print and negative number G2063 is also a copy of the same photograph.
