A 12x10 negative. A port quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the general cargo steamship Simonside (1896) at anchor or moored in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is loaded down to her marks with a full deck cargo of pitprops. Three empty lighters are alongside her. Tilbury is in the background.
