Sunrise (1899)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the Alexander screw tug Sunrise (1899) just making headway towing two lighters in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. The clipper bowed, two funneled paddle tug Cambria (1870) is at moorings on the right. Tilbury is in the background. Slight image movement. The original 12x10 glass plate negative has been broken and discarded but a 10x8 safety film negative has been made from a 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s before the negative was broken.
