Svithiod (1873)

A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the Swedish coastal passenger/cargo paddle vessel Svithiod (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She was built by J & W Dudgeon at Cubitt Town, London and was delivered to Rederi Aktiebolaget Svea in December 1873. The stern of a wooden hulled schooner flying a white ensign is in the left foreground. Tilbury ferry pontoon and railway station are in the background.
