Tainui (1884)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port very near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Tainui (1884) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on her foremast and awnings are rigged amidships where the forward lifeboat and davits have been removed. The lifeboats abreast the funnels are swung out. The passenger ferry Sir Walter Raleigh (1855) is alongside aft. Tilbury is in the background.
