Until summer 2025, there is a new visitor route at the National Maritime Museum while we carry out essential improvements to the Museum's roof. Most galleries will still be open as normal, and special exhibitions are currently free for all visitors. However, the Great Map and AHOY! will be closed for the duration of the works. Hello,

I'd would like to introduce myself. My name is Leah McGowan, and I am the new Assistant Librarian for the Caird Library. Previously, I worked for University of the Arts London at Camberwell College of Arts.
My area of expertise will be current acquisitions (post-1850). I am open to any book recommendations you may have so, feel free to contact me. Additionally, if you feel the collection is lacking in a particular subject area (post-1850) please to not hesitate to contact me and let me know.
