Can I book tickets over the phone?
Yes, you can purchase tickets over the phone by calling our bookings office on 0208 312 6608, 9am-5pm.
What ticket should I book for my child?
Children under 4 are free to all our sites – please select a ‘Child Under 4’ ticket for them when you check out so we can count them in our capacity. For children aged 4-15, select a child ticket when you book.
Is there a student discount?
Students of all ages and visitors under 25 can buy a discounted ticket when they check out. You may be asked for proof of age or student status when you visit.
How do I book planetarium shows?
Planetarium shows are available to book online and by phone. Our shows are very popular, so to prevent any disappointment, we recommend booking your tickets in advance. To book your tickets, please visit our website or contact our Bookings team on 0208 312 6608. The Bookings office is open Monday-Sunday, 9am-5pm.
Please note: We recommend that you book your tickets at least 24 hours in advance. Cut-off for advance booking, both online and by phone, is 2 hours prior to the start of the show.
I'm a Royal Museums Greenwich member. Do I still need to book?
As a Member you do not need to pre-book your general admissions tickets to Royal Museums Greenwich, simply scan your card for fast-track access. However you are strongly recommended to pre-book shows at the Peter Harrison Planetarium, as they are often sold-out in advance, especially on weekends and school holidays.

How do I pay?
We accept all major debit/credit cards. Please note, we can only accept AMEX cards in person at one of our sites, or over the phone.
Is there a booking fee for admissions?
No. However, we do charge a non-refundable booking fee for some special events and experiences.
How do I get my ticket?
You will receive your booking confirmation by email. Just bring this with you either on your mobile device or as a printout. If you are a Member you will also need to show your Membership card.
Unfortunately, our on-site ticket scanners are unable to read tickets on mobile phones with cracked screens. Please note we are unable to send tickets by post.
Why can't I select the timeslot that I want?
Timeslots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so your chosen timeslot may be fully booked. We only have a limited capacity for each timeslot to ensure we can maintain social distancing.
Can I arrive earlier than the time shown on my ticket?
We will do our best to fit you in if we can. But if we have reached capacity, you may have to wait for the next available time slot.
What if I miss my timeslot?
We will do our best to fit you in if we can, but if we have reached capacity for the timeslot when you arrive, you will have to wait for the next available timeslot.
I've changed my plans. Can I swap my ticket or get a refund?
No, all our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Will I get a refund if the site closes on the day I've booked for?
Yes, you will be automatically refunded.
I haven't received my confirmation email.
Please check it hasn’t gone to your spam folder first. If you still can’t find it, please email the Bookings team in advance of your visit on bookings@rmg.co.uk.
Do you offer any discounts for key workers?
We are delighted that Royal Museums Greenwich are offering free tickets to emergency service workers. There are a limited number of free tickets available daily for each timeslot. You will need to pre-book your ‘key worker ticket’ online, and the offer is limited to one ‘key worker ticket’ per transaction. This offer is only applicable to Blue Light Cardholders. Please do remember to bring your Blue Light Card as well as your e-ticket on the day of your visit.
I am a Corporate member or Patron. How do I book a ticket?
Corporate members should book tickets using the secure booking link provided by their partnership representative. Patrons can book additional tickets by contacting the Patrons Manager at ICrawley@rmg.co.uk
I am a member of the Museums Association, English Heritage or have a National Art Pass. How do I claim my discount?
Members of our partner organisations can still take advantage of their discount; you can now book your discounted tickets using the links below, or call our bookings team on 0208 312 6608. Please remember to bring your membership passes as well as your e-ticket on the day of your visit.
Are you accepting 2 for 1 National Rail vouchers at your sites?
Yes. However, 2FOR1 vouchers must be exchanged for Cutty Sark or Royal Observatory admission tickets before your visit. You can do this online here. Unfortunately, we cannot accept 2FOR1 vouchers over the phone or at our admission desks. 2for1 entry is valid on full priced Adult tickets only.
I have an ICOM card or work for an organisation participating in your reciprocal admission programme. How do I book my tickets?
Visitors wanting to book through the reciprocal scheme or International Council of Museums (ICOM) can still take advantage of their free tickets although they cannot be booked in advance. Remember to bring your staff ID pass or ICOM card on the day of your visit and go to an admission desk to purchase tickets.
Planetarium show tickets are not included. and reciprocity may exclude special exhibitions or events requiring an additional fee.
How can I make a group booking?
Please visit our information pages for group visits here. Most visits can be booked online in advance.
How do I get a group discount?
A 15% discount is available to groups of 15 people or more. For more details, check our information pages for group visits.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Gift vouchers are currently unavailable but you can purchase a Gift Membership, which includes year-round free entry to Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory Greenwich, planetarium shows and special exhibitions at the National Maritime Museum.
All Gift Memberships purchasers will instantly be sent a digital gift voucher. This gift voucher will allow the recipient to activate their Membership anytime over the next 12 months. Find out more about how to order here.

Do you have a buggy park?
Buggy parks are available at Cutty Sark and Royal Observatory with limited capacity, and both inside the National Maritime Museum and next to The Cove playground. These are not staffed and are used at the visitor’s own risk. Please note: children's bikes, scooters and skateboards are not permitted at our sites and cannot be stored in our buggy parks.
How do I enquire about lost property?
If you lose something at our sites, please fill in this form and a member of the team will be in contact with you if an item matching that description is found.
I am disabled. Can I bring a companion?
Yes, you can bring a companion or helper for free: select a ‘companion’ ticket for your companion when you complete your booking. Check here for more access information.
Are wheelchairs available?
Yes, to reserve one, please contact the Bookings team in advance of your visit on 0208 312 6608 or email bookings@rmg.co.uk.
Where can I park my car?
There is a secure car park at the National Maritime Museum which is open to visitors during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. Limited spaces may also be available Monday-Friday. Check availability when booking online.
