As part of our Women's History Month programme and the special creative season Drawn Together, we invite you to join internationally acclaimed artist Anita Taylor for a one-off drawing workshop.

This session will explore the relationship of the female subject, as artist and model.

Charcoal drawing of person
Divulge by Anita Taylor, charcoal on paper, 185 x 136cm

For more than three decades, Anita Taylor has been making charcoal drawings that explore the relationship of the female subject (as artist and model) and the defining acts of scrutiny, gaze and feeling.

This interrogation of gesture and expression has led to a sequence of drawings that question not just the appearance, but the emotional or haptic sensation of being inside a skin or body that can only be seen or recognised by the self with the aid of a mirror.

Come along and enjoy this special drawing session, no previous experience of drawing is needed.
