HERbal Health workshop

Join Herbal Hackney for this bespoke workshop to mark Women's History Month.

The workshop will explore some of the interwoven threads between women, plants and health through history and across different cultures. Through memories, stories and recipes we will uncover the healing properties of a range of plants. We’ll look at everything from growing herbs to cooking, to making remedies - discussing how plants can be enjoyed and celebrated in many different forms. We will delve into the world of aromatherapy and how we can make simple products to enjoy at home.

There will also be a chance to make your own by combining your own unique blend of oils.

Hackney Herbal was established to show people how to grow and incorporate herbs into their lifestyles to support their wellbeing. Their work focuses on connecting people with nature in a way that helps people develop strong values for looking after the land around them.

They deliver workshops along the themes of herbal remedies, self care, urban gardening, biodiversity and nature connection. They run a range of community projects from their garden in Hackney Wick and all profits from events are reinvested to provide free nature-based community activities that support people in Hackney to improve their mental health.
