This summer, Royal Museums Greenwich is celebrating a Summer of Play!
Every Thursday during the summer holidays, families can visit the grounds of the National Maritime Museum and come together to participate in different activities.

Find us outside the National Maritime Museum and ask a member of staff where we are located in the grounds. The Museum, the Cafe and the toilets will be open for the public.
Storytelling Together!

Families are welcomed to join Paul’s Storytelling Together Workshop and explore the art of creating stories about the sea, ships and Maritime exploration! Create fun, improvised stories using your imagination and inspired by maritime history.
Message in a bottle

Bring the whole family and create your own ship in a bottle, inspired by Yinka Shonibare's Ship in a Bottle. Families will travel through time and discover how to create a message in a bottle, like our ancestors used to do!
Fantasy knights

Want to be a fantasy knight? Join artist Jenny’s session and discover how to make a helmet with crests and decorations! Once ready, with the whole family start your fun and exciting jousting game, and make sure you don’t get knocked over!
A Journey to the Arctic world

Summer can get quite hot, so cool off with a journey to the Arctic region with the storyteller Dani. There will be so much to explore including penguin relay races!
