The Queen’s House is celebrating the festive season in style.
Whether you want to soak up the holiday spirit at a carol concert in the Great Hall or take part in themed trails, there’s lots of fun-filled experiences in store.
Event programme
Guess who? festive trail
30 November - 5 January | 10am-5pm
Put your knowledge of the Queen’s House artworks to the test on this self-guided trail.
Find the clues located on stockings throughout the House, and see if you can work out who the mystery character is. Guess correctly, and you can collect a free sticker from the shop.
Drop-in drawing sessions
Weekends from 30 November | 10.45am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
Add some sparkle to your season and take part in our family-friendly creative workshops, located in the Undercroft. Let your imagination run wild and create drawings inspired by Royal Museums Greenwich’s wintry artworks.
Festive Treasures Tour
Daily between 30 November – 5 January | 12.20pm and 3.30pm
Explore the unique architecture of the Queen’s House and uncover its history on this guided tour – complete with a festive twist.
Gaze upon the Great Hall, wander down the Tulip Stairs and learn about Greenwich’s Christmas tales.
The 60-minute tour costs £3.50 for adults; £2.50 for students; £1.75 for children; free for Members. Tickets can be bought at the Admissions Desk, located in the Undercroft.
Musical recitals
4 December | 1pm-2pm
Enjoy a musical performance in the Great Hall given by students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Throughout the month, Royal Museums Greenwich’s staff and volunteers will also hold a series of short recitals, showcasing their musical talents.
Winter drawing workshop
10 December and 18 December | 11am-12.30pm and 2pm-3.30pm
Take part in a guided workshop and recreate your own wintry Greenwich scenes. This event is suitable for those aged 16+ and welcomes all abilities. Materials will be provided. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £13.50 for Members.
Carol concert
14 December | Performances in the Great Hall at 6pm and 7.30pm
Join us for an evening of music performed by local choir, Hithertones. Highlights include Morten Lauridsen’s "O Magnum Mysterium", the Scottish folk song "The Parting Glass" and traditional festive tunes.
Tickets for the concert cost £18 for adults, £8 for children and £15 for students/under 25s. Discounted tickets for Members are available.
