Each November is Disability History Month, which celebrates the lives and stories of disabled people. 

Head to the Queen’s House for a day of talks showcasing the disability histories connected to Royal Museums Greenwich’s collections.  

Events take place throughout the day, check the programme below for more details. 

This event is hosted by Royal Museums Greenwich's Disability Staff Network. The group contains a diverse mix of voices and experiences. It assists the Museum by improving accessibility for staff, volunteers and visitors.

Nelson’s Injuries and Illnesses: a Surgeon’s Perspective 

11am-11.20am | King’s Bedchamber 

This talk provides an insight into Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson’s injuries and illnesses.

From King Richard III to Queen Victoria, discover the hidden histories of royal maladies.

Explore the unique architecture of the Queen’s House and uncover its history on this guided tour. 

The tour costs £3.50 for adults; £2.50 for students; £1.75 for children; free for Members. Tickets can be bought at the Admissions Desk, located in the Undercroft.
