Join us for اكتشاف النظام الشمسي, a planetarium show presented live by astrophysicist Houda Haidar in Arabic.
Included in the price of the ticket is access to the historical Royal Observatory Greenwich, which you can visit after the show.

About the presenter: Houda Haidar
Houda is a PhD researcher at Newcastle University, where she is studying supermassive black holes in space. She completed her Masters at Observatoire de Paris in France and earned her Bachelors at Queen Mary University of London. Born and raised in Morocco, pursuing a career as an astrophysicist was both a dream and a challenge for her, which she faced with unwavering commitment against all odds. Today, as an astrophysicist, Houda aims to support under-represented individuals in their pursuit of an education in STEM.
هدى حيضر باحثة بسلك الدكتوراه بجامعة نيوكاستل. تشتغل حاليا على دراسة الثقوب السوداء في الفضاء. أكملت ماجستيرها في مرصد باريس في فرنسا وحصلت على بكالوريوسها من جامعة كوين ماري في لندن. وُلدت ونشأت في المغرب حيث كانت متابعة مهنة كعالمة فيزياء فلكية حلمًا وتحديًا بالنسبة لها، واجهته بالتزام لا يلين رغم كل العقبات. اليوم، كعالمة فيزياء فلكية تهدف هدى إلى دعم الأشخاص غير الممثلين بشكل كاف في سعيهم للحصول على تعليم في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات

Can children attend?
Yes! This show is suitable for ages 7+. Children under 5 will not be admitted. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
How long will the show last?
Planetarium shows last up to 30 minutes.
When should I arrive?
The planetarium is part of the Royal Observatory, at the top of a hill with spectacular views across London. Please allow enough time to get to us and aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the show’s start time, as latecomers cannot be admitted.
Can I bring a pushchair?
Pushchairs are not allowed into the planetarium itself but there is a designated buggy park in the foyer.
Can I visit the Observatory too?
Yes! Each ticket purchased includes free access to the historic observatory site.
Are companion/carer tickets available?
