In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
A memorial of the Marquis of Carmarthen in which he informs that due to a stoppage in pay great unrest has occurred among Marines of the First Regiment. Officers are also suffering great hardship. He appeals to the Admiralty for the necessary release of funds. On the reverse is a note stating that the memorial has been referred to the Navy Board by the Treasury for consideration as signed by William Lowndes. Memorial written by Richard Harnage, an agent.
