In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
For the better regulation of His Majesty's two Marine Regiments, we are advised that a commissioned officer with a Sergeant be sent to Plymouth, Portsmouth, Deal and Chatham to take care of soldiers sick on shore during the Summer Expedition, and to seek out deserters and to put them on board when the time for them has expired. Money may be ordered to the agents of the regiment for the subsistence of officers and men employed on this service and also for the soldiers who are put into quarters. You are directed to imprest each of the agents of the marine regiments such sums of money as you shall judge necessary.
