In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosure: Copy of a Certificate by Edward Snellgrove Shipwright of Deptford stating that he was contracted to the East India Company for an Advice Frigate on the 25th October 1695 of the same dimensions as H.M. Packets to be ready for launching on the 7th December, and although that date was not achieved the vessel was ready by the end of that month. Due to a variation to the contract he was requested to keep the vessel on the stocks until early January of this year when she was launched. She was fitted ready to sail two weeks later. The truth of this Certificate was attested by John Bowers who added his signature.
