1st the violent and illegal presence of armed Mexican troops on board his ship.
2nd the expense of provisions for protecting so large a number of persons for so many days.
3rd the delay in receiving cargo as per charter, having been obliged to keep his crew under arms to prevent outages which were threatened against person who were aboard his ship and under the protection of the British Flag. The claim was for $100,000.
