Letters from John Short to Ella Ambrose July to September 1932.
He writes from SS NEURALIA at Leith, and explains the difficulties of getting such a large ship through the small dock gates. They are on a voyage with a large group of Scottish school children, to visit Stavanger, Copanhagen and Stockholm. In August. they have returned to the UK, and picked up another group, this time English students. On the 24th September, Short is writing from the HMT NEURALIA in the Bay of Biscay, after having been on leave for the first half of the month.
