Printed copy of the despatches from Rear-Admiral Algernon F.R. De Horsey, Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Station, reporting the engagement involving the armoured frigate HMS SHAH (1873), the wooden screw corvette HMS AMETHYST (1871) and the Peruvian turret ship HUASCAR (1865), off South America on 29 May 1877. Produced by Thomas Wolley, Chief Clerk at the Admiralty, in reply to an order of the House of Commons, dated 27 July 1877.
