In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Court Martial held on board the LONDON at Blackstakes on 25 January 1696/7. List of those present. Lieutenant Trehearne charged with beating the Steward, the Captain's Servant, of the VANGUARD and giving officers leave to go on shore contrary to his orders. Witnesses being examined, Lieutenant Trehearne is guilty of some facets falling under Article 33 and sentenced to forfeit 3 months of his wages. Signed by Captain John Munden, Commander-in-Chief of His Majesty's ships in the Thames and Medway.
