In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The DEPTFORD has been ordered from the Downes to Sheerness to be fitted for Channel service. You are directed to have this done and completed as soon as possible and that the provisions on board be made up to 10 weeks. You have informed us that the HUNTER and ETNA fireships are the most proper to go on foreign service and you are to have them fitted accordingly and supplied with 8 months victuals and stores.
