In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Barker, Commander of the STERLING CASTLE, has informed us that Robert Molton, William Herring, Jonathan Child, Jonathan Phillips, Sam Swanson, Anthony Horley, Peter Oger and William Calmisten, being absent from the ship when she last went to sea, were made Run on the books by Captain Fowlkes, her then Commander. The ship returning they came on board and have given constant attendance since. You are directed to remove the Run and the said men are to be mulcted for their absence.
