In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The last payment made to the GLOUCESTER and MARY was at Portsmouth on 22 October 1698, when the ships company's were paid on board the WEYMOUTH. We cannot certify if there are any objections to the payment of wages, more than they are with many others to wait the course of recalls, as the persons names are not given in the letters accompanying Mr Burchett's letter of 16 February. The annexed list having been since delivered, I have referred to the names and, with the exception of those under-mentioned whose Rs are not yet taken off, I find nothing to keep them from their pay than their waiting the course of recall. Thomas Moody, David Poor, John Houseby, George Carter and Richard Rauser. No signature.
