This is to certify that John Wilson stands on the Romney's books as No 338, 5 June 96, Ordinary, Discharged 16 July 1697 with a ticket. No 423, re-entry 25 July 1697, Ordinary. Discharged 24 August 1698 with a ticket. It was usual (before the late order from the Lords of the Admiralty not taking off Qs and Rs) for the Comptroller of Pay to take off the Qs of men when they re-entered the ship. Not signed or dated.
