In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
I attest that Captain Bostock has sold bread, beef, pork, beer, pease and oatmeal several times, and that Thomas Rice has said that Boatswain of the SWIFT sold provisions in Virginia. That Captain Bostock and his officers made good shares in every man's right and that John Best said that they never endeavoured to get the ship off, but pulled her to pieces taking all the ironwork from her John Best and Price, if examined, will give further information. Signed by Richard Walton; Surgeon of the SWIFT.
