Certificate confirming Arthur Lysaght's presence on board HMS SYBILLE during the capture of several ships during February and March 1799.

Certificate dated 30 January 1801 and signed by Lieutenant Hardyman, confirming that Arthur Lysaght was on board HMS SYBILLE in 1799 during the recapture of a rice-laden sloop off the coast of Coromandel on 20 February, during the capture of the French frigate FORTE in Balasore Road on 1 March, and the recapture of the Honorable Company's ship OSTERLY in Diamond Harbour on 10 March 1799. The certificate also states that Henry Sewell Esquire, HM Naval Store Keeper at Madras, is the agent for the prizes. On the reverse of the certificate are some notes written by Arthur Lysaght's son, Thomas Henry Lysaght, stating that Lieutenant Hardyman was appointed to command FORTE when the frigate was commissioned in HM Navy.
