Notebook of George Mundy, 1808-1835.
Notebook of George Mundy containing remarks on events during the period when he was in command of the frigate HMS HYDRA (1797) on the coast of Catalonia, Spain, with extracts from the journal of the French commander Laurent de Gouvion Saint-Cyr, 1808-1809. There are also notes on the Euphrates expedition led by Lieutenant-Colonel Francis R. Chesney in 1835 and a newspaper cutting concerning the Countess of Lipona (Caroline Bonaparte), widow of Joachim Murat.
