In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Having considered what is offered by the Commissioners of Victualling in their letter to your Board concerning the furnishing of Raisins and Flour to the Fleet, instead of a quarter part of the Beef, we direct you to order the Commissioners to furnish such proportion of the Raisins directed as they judge best, and the rest to be supplied by Pickled [Sewett].
Admiral Russell has presented to us a Draught prepared by Mr Dummer of a small Vessel to be built for Rowing, to attend the Fleet, for the towing of Ships, and cutting off Fireships as there shall be occasion. We send herewith the Draught and direct you to consider it and report your opinion of its usefulness, together with an Estimate of the charge of building such a Vessel, and in what time it may be finished.
