In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We are informed by your letter of the 11th inst; that the new Fireship building in this River by Mr Jonas Shish is designed to be launched on Saturday next. We direct you to cause her ( which we have named VULCAN ) to be fitted out for service in the Channel, and that she be manned with a complement of forty four Men, and victualled for four months or as much as she can conveniently stow.
