In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Petition on behalf of Susanna Ponotier the Widow of Captain Edward Ponotier who went to the West indies in HMS WINCHESTER and transferred to HMS RESERVE where he died from 17 wounds. She is pleading for financial relief. On the reverse the Admiralty Board is asking for the matter to be investigated and an opinion declared. Front of document is unsigned but on reverse has Charles Cornwallis; James Kendall and Edward Russell.
