Correspondence related to Lecky's attempts to have the remaining volumes of 'The King's Ships' published. By this time the printers were growing increasingly frustrated with the situation and were threatening to pulp their stock of 'The King's Ships' if Lecky did not pay storage costs or remove it. Lecky and some sympathetic associates approached several wealthy and influential figures to try to secure funding for the publication of the remaining volumes of 'The King's Ships', and also proposed the project to other publishers, but without success.
