Letter of application to the East India Company, 1827.
(1) Copy of a letter to the Court of Directors of the East India Company, sent by Dobbie from 6 Bedford Square, London, dated 2 April 1827. It declares his wish to be considered as a candidate for the post of Superintendent of the Marine, and provides details of his naval career in the East Indies in the period 1790-1807.
