Letter from Rear Admiral Sir Charles Ogle, Commander in Chief of HM Ships employed on the North American and Newfoundland stations, to Commander George Scott of HM Sloop CHAMPION ordering him to proceed to Halifax for the protection of the trade and the security of the dockyard, and informing him that the COLUMBINE will depart at the same time, to try the rate of sailing of the two ships.
