In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Commander of the SAMUEL and HENRY, hired ship, informs us in his letter of 28 April from the Downs, that on his return from Ostend he met with bad weather and had to leave the sheet anchor and cable and the main sail is split. You are directed to furnish her with these out of the Portsmouth stores on her arrival at Spithead. You are to take care that the charge is to be met by her owners out of the freight for the hire of the ship.
