Letterbook belonging to William Cornwallis with transcriptions inside including letters to Lord Hood and a letter to Nelson.

A volume and 28 sheets of loose pages consisting of a collection of rough letters dated 12 March 1789 to 6 January 1791 with transcriptions including letters to Lord Hood saying that abuse in the Navy may be hard to prevent and that he believes the French would assist to help Tipu Sultan to cause mischief; a letter to his brother about the locals of the Andaman Islands 1791 and a letter to Nelson October 1791 saying that he would try to keep his men in check though not all would be pleased with the idea but he was satisfied with doing the right thing.
