Letter to Thursfield discussing the outcome of the recent Battle of Jutland, sent by Admiral John R. Jellicoe on the battleship HMS IRON DUKE (1912), in command of the Grand Fleet, dated 22 July 1916. The letter was sent to Thursfield’s address at 57 Rotherwick Road, Golders Green, London, but redirected to the residence of Lord Rathbourne at Hesleyside, Bellingham, Nothumberland.
