In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
It appears to us by a Certificate under the hand of Captain Lawrence Wright , late Commander in Chief of the Squadron in the West Indies, that Lieutenant Charles Farr, late First lieutenant of the JERSEY,did command the said Ship after the death of Captain Tollemache from the 26th March 1691 to the 20th May following. We direct you to cause his Lieutenant's Pay in the said Ship for that time be made up to that of Captain.
