In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Her Majesty by her Order in Council dated 3 August, has declared that provision of victuals should be made for 3,010 men for 13 lunar months, commencing 1 January 1693, in addition to the 30,000 men already declared for serving in their Majesties' ships. You are directed to prepare an estimate of the charge of these victuals, and also the wages and wear and tear of the additional men.
