In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain John Maine has made application to have the usual provisions allowed to Commanders, for volunteers appointed by warrant from this Board. He has asked in respect of Edward Nicholls, Hildebrand Hordon and Covil Main, which he took with him from the YORK into the PLYMOUTH, and for John Hall, who removed with him from the ASSURANCE into the YORK and from that ship into the PLYMOUTH. You are directed to have the usual allowance made to Captain Maine for these men for the time they served in the PLYMOUTH, and for John Hall for the time he served in the YORK and PLYMOUTH.
