In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Elisha Dobree, a Gurenseyman and ship owner has been detained on Guernsey pending his acting as a French Coast Pilot. He petitions for an allowance to cover the duration of his detention stating that throughout this time his ship has lain idle on The Walls. An Instruction is given for him to be paid half of what he would have received had he acted as a Pilot.
