In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The VIRGIN Prize has been ordered to Chatham for a refit; but she is to be surveyed at Harwich before departing, and if found unseaworthy is to leave her crew at the Nore. A copy of any resultant survey is to be sent to the Admiralty. Captain Wiles of the FRIENDLY SOCIETY has written to say that he needs a replacement Master as the present incumbent has died. An order is given for a substitute to be found and sent aboard as he is due to depart for Hamburg.
