In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Townsend of the PENZANCE has informed the Admiralty that he has lost both his topmasts when in the Rowling Grounds and cannot obtain replacements from Harwich unless he is supplied with the masts intended for the new 6th Rate building there. An Order is given for her to receive the masts as she is required for herring fishery protection work off Yarmouth.
