Printed volume of Testimonials in favour of Michael Waistell Cowan, Inspector General of Hospitals and Fleets, Royal Navy, 1892; four newspaper obituaries for Cowan, one for his wife Emma Louisa Cowan (nee Pritchard), and one for David Paton, a member of the firm Messrs Cowan and Paton; a photograph of Mrs Cowan's gravestone; two calling cards for Dr and Mrs Cowan; a postcard signed J.J.C (possibly Jack Cowan, son of M.W. and E.L.), 1906; a handwritten address titled "Religion in daily life"; leaflet for a fete at The Refectory, Leigh, 1901; thirteen letters between members of the Cowan family dated between 1893 and 1903; a small group of papers dated between 1897 and 1903 relating to temperature and rainfall at Leigh; 7 pages from a diary, January to April 1901 (author unclear).
