Letters, Ascension, 1865-1869, between members of the Cowan family.
Letters chiefly between Michael W. Cowan, his brother John and mother Ann, as well as a few from other family members such as John Taylor, an uncle. Many of Michael's letters from 1866 and 1867 are addressed from Mountain Hospital, Ascension.
