Publications: Malta Tourist Board colour pamphlet on art and architecture, 2 copies of an article by Venetia Murray about El Mahdi from the same magazine (unclear which), and an article by James Fox from a different magazine about "The Dead City of Suakin". No dates.

Notes (hand written and typed) about Sir James Porter's career in Portsmouth in 1883, and with the Marines during the Suakim Campaign from 1884 to 1885 and the historical and geographical context (Egyptian history), with extracts from Porter's journals and official reports. It was here that he met Cosmo Gordon, who became a close friend. 3 pages of typewritten notes on the Battle of To Frek, or McNeils Zareba, 22 March 1885, with extracts from Porter's reports.

Subfolder labelled "Cosmo Gordon" containing notes dated 1954, postcards from Madge Gordon addressed to Miss Porter, photographs including a portrait of Cosmo Gordon, who was killed at the Battle of the Aisne, 1914, aged 20, a letter from Gordon to Porter dated 1908.
