Transcriptions of Sir James Porter's letters from HMS SCOUT, HMS HIBERNIA and HMS TAMAR, October 1889 to March 1890, with many hand-written additions and edits. Letters are numbered (presumably corresponding to the number system of the original letters): 1, 8, 20, 36, 60, 72, 80, 94, 122, 146, 154, followed by many un-numbered. Another section begins in January 1890: 32, 33, 34, 37, 38, 39, 40, followed by a few un-numebred, 46, 47, 48, 49, a few un-numbered and hand-written, then 53-58. Also hand-written notes about Porter's shipmates on HMS SCOUT, Queen Victoria's Family, and a photo and postcard of Malta.
