In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The men ordered to be transferred from the JOSEPH, Fireship, to the VICTORY, commanded by Captain Fairborne, are to be paid their wages when the VICTORY arrives at Spithead. Other men transferred into her from the VANGUARD and other ships, are also to be paid. In addition, several volunteers who have been entered in the VICTORY, following the King's proclamation for encouraging men to enter the Navy, are to be paid their bounty and conduct money.
