Document signed by William Bridgeman, circa 1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698

You have their Lordships directions for sending pilots to Deal for the RESOLUTION, MONMOUTH, DEFIANCE, DUNKIRK and ST PAUL fireship. Their Lordships have received a letter from Captain Fowlkes that the ships have very little provisions on board and you are asked to give an account of whether they may be most conveniently supplied from Dover or the River.
