In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to cause Doctor Cockburn and Mr Larkin, Deputy Judge Advocates, who are appointed to go with the Squadron designed to go on Foreign Service, to be paid the whole of the Wages due to them before they proceed.
You are also to pay the Captain of the FLAME Fireship, Captain Edwards, to Michaelmas last.
By your letter of the 9th inst; you informed us that the JOSIAH Storeship is in a very weak condition, and therefore propose her being converted into a Hulk to serve at Woolwich. We direct you to cause this to be done accordingly, and that her Officers be discharged and her foremast Men disposed of as Sir Cloudesely Shovel desires.
You are to give orders that the LION be surveyed by the Master Shipwright at Sheerness and inform us of her condition.
