Document signed by William Bridgeman, circa 1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698

We understand by your letter of August 31st that the Victualling Commissioners cannot furnish the SHOREHAM with Provisions at Bristol, and I am commanded by the Admiralty Commissioners to write to know whether the Ship can be victualled at Milford or anywhere in that Channel to which she may be ordered.
Captain Hearne, Commander of the HUNTER Fireship at Sheerness, has been informed by the Master Shipwright that she must go into a Dry Dock for repair, as she cannot be repaired there.
I desire you let me know where it will be best for her repair
Admiral Benbow informs that Captains of the Ships with him complain very much for the want of Necessaries for their Surgeons. These should be jhastened to them at the Gunfleet with all possible speed.
